BidEnergy’s innovation helps customers save time, effort and money, while simultaneously supporting competition in the energy market by giving smaller energy retailers the opportunity to win major contracts that they may otherwise never have had an opportunity to bid on. It works like this. Power companies are invited to sit on BidEnergy’s specialist bidding platform and offer their best deals of the day. BidEnergy analyses the energy usage data of customers, matching these customers with the best deals on the platform. Once the contract is in place, BidEnergy’s RPA technology kicks in, seamlessly automating bill processing for customers and removing the significant time and cost burden of manual processing for all parties.
An example of the innovation in action is a national retailer operating over 500 sites in Australia. Before BidEnergy, all sites were under a single power contract to a big three energy company that was not the lowest cost solution, and every single site had to pay its own bill each month, with subsequent processing also required at head office. After BidEnergy, the company has eight different power suppliers, delivering savings of around 15% and all the bill payments for all the sites are automated, every month.
