IKON purchased a Hino 616 which was lowered to fit into the Crown Casino Car Park (under 2 meters) and then modified this truck to create the only hybrid eco-friendly bin washing system on the market eliminating needless transport, manual handling and time wasting. The task required careful engineering to ensure that the bin lift function did not hit the roof but was also high enough to clear obstacles on the ground such as speed humps and ramps.

The Hino came with a Diesel engine but has the ability to switch now to electric mode in idle while cleaning take place, is equipped with an electric pressure washer, lithium battery pack, rotary spray jets, a water tank, motion and light sensors. This concept is patented by IKON and is one-off a kind.
